Description:

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Abrasive Blasters for projects located in the San Diego, CA area. This is a second shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are an Abrasive Blaster ready to hone your skills while mastering new ones alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!

 

Job Scope:        

  • Prepare surfaces using a propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure 100 to 120 psi to roughen a smooth surface to remove surface contaminants
  • Remove adhering scale paint and/or multilayer rust
  • Work on ships at heights and confined areas at blast and paint facility and/or in paint pit using air feed respirator
  • Set up & use abrasive blast gear and equipment
  • Operate high reaching equipment
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned some of which may become essential to the position
Requirements:
  • Must pass drug screen and background check
  • Must have respirator fit test
  • OSHA 10 Maritime, and Firewatch Certification
  • 1+ year experience on abrasive blasting activities or SSPC C7 Certification
