Process Improvement Specialist

Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 44 hours per week 
Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
Vacation: Two weeks paid annually

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST


Role Summary

The Process Improvement Specialist will play a key role in transforming business operations by digitizing workflows, integrating data systems, and implementing automated processes. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Process Digitization: Assessing and digitizing workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Automation: Implementing automations for routine tasks and data management, primarily using Airtable with potential for SAP in the future.
  • Lean & Six Sigma Projects: Leading projects to reduce waste and improve process yield using Six Sigma and Lean principles.
  • Experimentation and Analysis: Setting up experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology and maintaining thorough documentation.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred, with an IELTS score of 8 or higher for English proficiency.
  • Experience:
    • At least two years in process improvement in a manufacturing or business setting, with Canadian experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Airtable skills or comparable experience in database and automation design.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
    • A proactive, motivated, and adaptable approach with a creative problem-solving mindset.
