In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join the Technical Accounting and Oversight team (TA&O) specialists in performing research on particular accounting matters related to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and gain experience working on various projects, both in collaboration with the team and independently.
You are responsible for
Assisting TA&O specialists in performing research on particular accounting matters relating to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Organize and help facilitate training events for the finance community
Prepare accounting PowerPoint presentations for various stakeholders
Help in performing financial reporting reviews
Revision of Philips accounting manual
You are a part of
The Technical Accounting and Oversight (TA&O) team within Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control (ARIC) in Royal Philips. The TA&O team is responsible for the establishment and communication of the accounting policies of Royal Philips and for keeping these policies up to date.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Background knowledge in accounting, with basic training in IFRS as part of your education
Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Team player with ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and a can-do, positive mindset
Fluent in written and spoken English

Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:
Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive an allowance pro-rata.
Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
Paid holidays per internship term.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
