If you enjoy working on a variety of tasks within a fast-paced environment, this position is for you!  Combine your interests in Technology, Finance and business value delivery in this multi-faceted role supporting Enterprise Data Services IT Portfolio.  This role helps align strategy and execution by applying Lean systems thinking approach to strategy and investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance. The IT Portfolio Analyst shall support the prioritization of work and financial accountability for the products and solutions within a portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and monitor IT budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives/objectives
  • Assist with department financial operations, review outlook locks, provide operations planning, monthly reserving, capitalization, financial reporting
  • Oversee vendor management on contracts, purchase orders, MBM and invoice reconciliation and approvals
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a workforce reporting and analysis strategy, inclusive of vendor partners, such that the ratios of employee/vendor, onshore/offshore, engineering /non- engineering to achieve an optimum balance
  • Provide support for data capture, metrics, measurement, ratios, projections around work force
  • Partner closely with the Portfolio Lead to ensure the investment prioritization process is transparent and collaborative
  • Provide support to prepare for portfolio health reviews, scorecards, MOR meetings
  • Assist with the reporting and interpreting of key portfolio Rally metrics (e.g., Portfolio backlog health, Feature lead time, Predictably, Throughput, Milestone BurnUp)
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, adopting “OwnIT”, Agile and DevOps mindsets and enabling high performance
  • Assist with coordinating a continuous approach to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements and non-discretionary initiatives
  • Assists with Rally support and Data management.
  • Play integral role in Agile Reporting Tools integration process such as Clarity and Rally.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of change/project/portfolio management experience or equivalent leadership experience
  • Strong Financial Acumen and Financial Modeling understanding
  • Experience with agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
  • Experience managing financials and knowledge of IT financial management practices
  • Understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile
  • Strong Excel and Power Point
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$77,520 - $116,280
