The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Business Development Manager for 3M Advanced Materials Division - Sand Control3M Ceramic Sand Screens within EMEA, with focus on Europe and Africa, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Manage Ceramic Sand Screen (CSS) accounts Europe and Africa (and ad hoc EMEA as required) for assigned Operator and Service Company clients
  • Interface with Marketing Organisation to nurture leads and collaborate on marketing operations
  • Be a member of the EMEA CSS Value Creation Team to drive CSS growth and market technology acceptance
  • Support growth strategy and tactics formulation and tasks
  • Provide Oil & Gas Completion situational awareness to R&D and Application Engineering

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • First experience working for an Oilfield Service Company in lower/sand control completion applications preferably having been client facing. E.g. account manager, applications engineer, field engineer,
  • First experience working for an Energy Operator in lower/sand control completion design. E.g. lower completions engineer
  • Proven capability to network with Operators and Service Companies.  
  • Preferably having completed graduate or technician training programme
  • Facing clients with relevant Oil and Gas experience but not in sand control will be considered if candidate has proven capability to become competent in new disciplines quickly
  • Candidate must display critical thinking and problem-solving skills evidenced by previous successful outcome of strategy and tactics developed by the candidate or is able to demonstrate an aptitude for these capabilities
  • Fluent in English language both verbal and written

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), leadership abilities and desire to collaborate across the function and organization
  • Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results
  • Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance

Job localization: within EMEA

Travel: May include up to 10-25% ad hoc short business trips domestically and internationally
