Position Summary
The Product Strategy and Delivery Consultant is a newly created position, reporting directly to the Head of Product Strategy and Delivery. Product Strategy & Delivery is responsible for training, developing contract language, state filing, as well as the ownership and management of Group Benefits’ multi-year product roadmaps. These include the prioritization of product specific and multi-line initiatives that impact product economics and the competitiveness of Guardian’s offering in market. In this role, you will work with the Head of Product Strategy & Delivery to develop and validate business strategy across new and current product lines, market entry opportunities, and external partnerships. You will support Product leaders with business strategy development and refreshes and develop and maintain our multi-year roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers.
You Will:
- Create strategic recommendations across diverse topics in alignment with organizational priorities and opportunities
- Gather and/or conduct research to inform the development and validation of business strategy
- Develop and maintain multi-year product roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers
- Support the annual planning process, inclusive of roadmap refresh, and capital planning and prioritization
- Work with Product Managers and across product lines to ensure there is a holistic view of the organization’s priorities and understand the business impact of deliverables
- Develop business cases in support of strategic priorities
- Collaborate with Finance and Actuarial to size strategic opportunities
- Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity, conducting analyses and providing insights to Product leaders, informing shifts to business strategy, product development, and product improvements
- Manage partner pipeline in collaboration with Product Leaders
- Conduct external scouting aligned with strategic priorities, hold exploratory conversations, develop strategic rationale and business case for partnership and secure approval to move into execution phase
- Create compelling narratives and supporting communication materials for executive presentations, including but not limited to MOR, QBR, Board of Directors’, etc.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5+ years in non-medical, ancillary benefits. Group Benefits experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High comfort level with complex data sets and concepts
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong executive presence and public speaking skills including presentation to senior leadership, as well as field stakeholders
- Consistent track record of exceptional performance
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally to solve complex business problems and navigate rapidly evolving macro trends
Location and Work Arrangement:
- Work arrangement will be hybrid (2+ days per week in a Guardian Office)
- Preferred locations include Boston, MA; Bethlehem, PA; and New York, NY
Salary Range
$116,350.00 - $191,155.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
