Job description

As an Employee Portal Design and Creative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience of our organization's employee portal. Your responsibilities will involve understanding user needs, designing visually appealing interfaces, and ensuring a seamless and engaging portal experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions that align with the company's brand and values.

Key Responsibilities:

User-Centric Design:

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs and preferences of different user personas.
  • Create user personas and journey maps to inform design decisions.

Portal Design and Aesthetics:

  • Develop a visually appealing and cohesive design for the employee portal.
  • Incorporate the company's branding elements into the portal design.

Responsive and Intuitive Design:

  • Ensure the portal is responsive and accessible across various devices.
  • Implement intuitive navigation and information architecture for seamless user interaction.

Functional Design Requirements:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional requirements for the employee portal.
  • Design interfaces for features such as time tracking, leave requests, document sharing, etc.

Personalization and User Dashboards:

  • Implement personalization features, allowing users to customize their portal experience.
  • Design user dashboards that provide quick access to relevant information.

Graphic and Icon Design:

  • Create visually appealing graphics and icons to enhance the overall user interface.
  • Ensure consistent use of design elements throughout the portal.

Calls-to-Action (CTAs) and Navigation:

  • Design clear and effective CTAs to guide users through various portal actions.
  • Optimize navigation for efficiency and user-friendly interaction.

Feedback Mechanism:

  • Implement feedback forms and surveys to gather user input for continuous improvement.
  • Provide error messages and notifications to keep users informed.

Security and Privacy:

  • Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure the portal design aligns with security and privacy standards.
  • Design secure login processes and data encryption features.

Accessibility Standards:

  • Ensure the portal complies with accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience for all users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing user interfaces for web applications, preferably employee portals.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development principles is a plus.
