We are seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst I to help us fulfill that mission.

 

The ACT Marketing team is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented rock star Digital Marketing Analyst I  to join our band of talented marketing professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms including paid media and paid social media across a variety of platforms. You will also be responsible for data analysis through platforms like Google Analytics 4. As a key member of our digital marketing team, you will contribute to driving brand awareness, generating leads, and maximizing conversions through data-driven digital advertising strategies. 

 

The finalist will be hired at the salary and level commensurate with their qualifications. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000, depending on the level . ACT manages salaries within the range based on relevant factors including, skills, experience, and internal equity. This position is not incentive eligible.

 

Location:  This is a remote position (can also be onsite or hybrid if in Iowa City, Iowa area)

A Day in the Life:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the digital marketing team to develop and execute effective digital advertising campaigns aligned with business goals and target audiences within B2C and B2B channels.
  • Research, analyze, and select appropriate advertising channels and platforms to reach our target audience effectively.
  • Create and manage engaging digital ad content, including copywriting, image selection, and ad layout design, in collaboration with the creative team.
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize advertising campaigns on platforms including, not limited to, Google Ads and Facebook Ads to maximize performance.
  • Utilize A/B testing methodologies to optimize ad performance, including ad copy, targeting, and creative elements, while keeping a detailed optimization log.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging digital advertising technologies to drive innovation and maximize campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategic marketing, design, and data analytics, to ensure alignment and effective campaign execution.
  • Monitor and manage advertising budgets, ensuring efficient allocation, cost-effective campaigns, while pacing spend to reach overall allocated budget.
Role Progression:
  • Within 3 months you will:
    • Have a comfortable understanding of the advertising platforms we use and how we use them.
    • Gain knowledge of existing advertising campaigns, evergreen and flights.
    • Meet with advertising vendors.
    • Become familiar with the different areas of marketing and how we support/collaborate with them. 
  • Within 6 months you will:
    • Identify opportunities for D2L and/or B2B advertising.
    • Feel comfortable optimizing existing campaigns or proposing new ones.
    • Contribute to discussions with vendors about opportunities for ACT advertising.
    • Take lead on projects submitted to digital advertising.
  • Within 12 months you will:
    • Be able to speak comfortably to the various goals/opportunities for D2L marketing, the funnel, and digital strategy. 
    • Have a strong understanding of B2B products, stakeholders, and associated campaigns/opportunities. 
    • Have the chance to contribute to strategy development for both D2L and B2B. 
About You:
  • At least 2 years of experience in digital advertising, including project management experience.
  • Working experience within Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, and Facebook Ads.
  • Familiarity with the marketing funnel and experience running digital ads for awareness, lead generation, and purchase conversion for B2C and/or B2B audiences.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to monitor and measure campaign performance.
  • Familiarity with audience research, campaign structure, and learning phase optimization.
  • Basic knowledge of pixel implementation and conversion event creation.
  • Ability to learn new platforms quickly and continue development of working knowledge and experience within new platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop effective advertising strategies.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develops ideas that are new, innovative, better, or unique; embraces and promotes diverse perspectives.
  • A customer-centric focus and service oriented to ensure success for the customer, organization, and team members.
  • Skills and knowledge required for success in this position attained through experience, education (Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related area of study), or a combination of both.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the education industry.
  • Knowledge and/or working experience of other digital advertising platforms, such as Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, Spotify Ads, and/or connected TV platforms.
  • Google Certifications are a plus.
