Job Summary
As a Procurement Specialist, this role will play a key role in supporting the company’s procurement operations and purchasing activities. In collaboration with the Sr Dir, Procurement, this role will also help refine and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing of purchase orders and services to support business functions and objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Request and review vendor quotes, comparing costs, terms, quality, and delivery schedules to identify the best options for the business.
- Process purchase orders and follow up with vendors to confirm timelines and order status.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and contract terms.
- Partner with business stakeholders and the legal team to process contracts.
- Address any issues with vendors as needed, escalating to the proper stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Sr Dir, Procurement to develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company’s procurement policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to Lucet’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Behaviors, Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and Compliance Program.
- Comply with all Federal and applicable State and local laws and Lucet Policies and Procedures regarding privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.
Required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
- In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Proven negotiation and contract skills
- Prior SAP experience

Working Conditions
- Work is performed indoors in a home office environment- not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Frequent exposure to VDT screen and computer.
- Physical demands include constant ability to remain in a stationary position, move about inside an office or remote setting, able to communicate and exchange information with others, able to inspect information, and able to perform repetitive motion with arms and fingers.
- Mental demands include constant ability to interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, and organize and plan.
Salary And Other Compensation
The starting pay rate that Lucet reasonably expects to pay for this position ranges from $27.00 - $31.00 per hour, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills, education/degrees, certifications, prior experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of Lucet's incentive plan based on both company performance and individual performance.
