The Premium Audit department is currently seeking a field manager to directly manage assigned field auditors who audit commercial general liability and workers compensation policies.
Salary: The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000.00 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- manage direct reports to meet individual production, timeliness, and quality goals
- contribute to achievement of departmental goals through effective oversight of unit results
- monitor and evaluate territory staffing and workloads as needed
- review completed work for quality and adherence to manual rules and regulatory requirements
- conduct audits on large, complex accounts as needed
- travel with direct reports annually for coaching and performance evaluations
- conduct annual evaluations of direct reports identifying strengths, deficiencies, and development plans
- participate in field staff training and educational programs for agents and other depts
- assist auditors and agents in reconciling disputed audits in a timely fashion
- liaison with third party audit vendors to resolve disputes and ensure a quality product
- liaison with SIU on all fraud investigations within assigned territories
- review and approve accounts with large premium deviations
- any other duties or special projects as assigned by department manager
Be equipped with:
- high level knowledge of Field Auditor job functions
- excellent presentation skills
- advanced automation skills including: all applicable company/departmental applications, Microsoft Office products including Excel, Power Point & Word, knowledge of network/internet functionality and working knowledge of departmental hardware devices
- advanced analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources to determine next steps
- excellent organization skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
- negotiation skills with the ability to influence others by educating and sharing information
- strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present information to a variety of audiences
Bring education and experience from:
- a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
- 10 years Insurance/Premium Audit Experience with 5 in the field preferred
- APA required, CPCU preferred
- proven ability to manage multiple priorities
