What You Will Get To Do:

  • Prepare interim (quarterly/semi-annual) and annual financial statements (full set with note disclosures) in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and Canadian ASPE for investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and mutual funds.
  • Review financial statements prepared by junior team members for accuracy, completeness and alignment with the requirements of the applicable accounting standard; provide constructive feedback.
  • Liaise with internal parties, auditors and investment fund managers during financial statement preparation and audit;
  • Share expertise and provide recommendations to clients with respect to financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead, assist and participate in special projects.
  • Participate fully as a leader and a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Stay current on changes to accounting and regulatory requirements for investment funds and financial instruments.
  • Provide training and oversight to junior team members.

What You Will Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • 7 + years of hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing or auditing financial statements for investment funds
  • 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional accounting designation (preferred
