Are you ready to take on the challenge as a sales specialist to grow our sales and become the business partner for our customers in the area Murcia?

 

Your job

 

The main purpose of this function is to further develop our market position and market share for the salad crop in Murcia. You will build up a long-term relationship with national customers aiming to achieve profitability and to reach a solid partnership with our customers. In this challenging job you will focus on:

 

Sales

 

  • Planning and executing the sales plan for the salad crop in the area for the designated customers and
  • Matching this sales plan with the seed production plan and inventory stocks
  • Introducing the company and our product offer to (potential) national customers aiming to capture new customers
  • Formulating and negotiating contracts with customers to reach short-term sales targets and to develop a long-term partnership relation
  • Within the crop community provide market, price and product information to contribute to the preparation of the marketing and sales plan
  • Report to the management to keep them informed about proceedings in sales

 

Product Development:

 

  • Contribute and support the trial plan program coming up with proposals regarding the pipeline
  • Initiate the introduction of new varieties and propose price level and product forms aiming to contribute to commercial success of new varieties

 

Crop Management:

 

  • Follow-up the performance of the crops and support growers and technical teams at auctions, distributors and key customers on relevant crop management 
  • Follow-up evolution of the seed lots at nursery level in collaboration with other members of the team

 

 

Your Profile

 

To be successful in this challenging sales position you need to have solid knowledge about the crop and the ability to influence the market and the customers (distributors, cooperatives, nurseries and key growers). Next to that you anticipate to the market and customer needs.

We are looking for sales profile which can be characterized as a “challenger” with the drive to discover innovative ways to work together with the customers, to set up new projects and to build partnerships.

 

Success in this job will be determined by the following key points:

  • Turnover

  • New customers’ capture
  • Manage distributors’ sales and bonuses
  • Crop management support
  • Days / amount sales outstanding
  • Reliable sales plan and trusted marketing advice

 

Education & Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
  • Previous experience that demonstrates a proven track record achieving business growth
  • Affinity with agriculture and knowledge of vegetable crops is required to be successful in this role
  • English language - intermediate and Spanish language - fluent/mother tongue
