Job Title: Systems Engineering Test Technician
Department: Systems Design Verification, Systems Engineering COE
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing materials, tools, and performing various engineering tasks across R&D, supporting existing products and new product initiatives. The general scope includes working with a highly motivated team of dedicated and experienced engineers in managing R&D materials and assets for ad-hoc or V&V testing purposes (manual and automated), setting up test environments, executing testing, reporting test results, building device prototypes, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The primary objective of this position will be ensuring smooth operation and preparation of mission-critical materials supply and testing to promote robust medical device design, development, and evaluations.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with systems, development, and test engineers to understand schedules and equipment needs to support project testing activities.
· Building and setting up lab equipment for testing.
· Ensure proper equipment is ready on time for test execution across projects.
· Leverage existing tools and automation to execute automated tests and report results across projects and test cycles.
· Support basic troubleshooting and collecting logs and data for issues observed during testing.
· Execute automated tests, record results, and document issues using standard tools and processes during project development cycles.
· Execute dry runs of new and updated automated Test Cases.
· Coordinate with Systems, development, and test engineers when troubleshooting issues and verifying fixes.
· Write reports and log issues for executed verification tests.
· Participate in the planning and execution of technical project work.
· Ensure lab safety and housekeeping practices.
· Performs technician tasks deploying standard and advanced techniques.
· Maintain laboratory equipment by scheduling regular maintenance, interfacing with facilities, service technicians, and responding to equipment issues.
· Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED
· 5+ yrs experience working in a laboratory environment (preferably in R&D) or a combination of higher-level education
· 3+ yrs experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) & technical writing capabilities
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
· Associate degree in an engineering or technical-related field
· Self-driven, efficient learner and able to perform in a dynamic work environment
· Equipment Maintenance
· Planning, organization & detailed oriented
· Knowledge of scripting and/or programming languages like Python is a plus.
· Knowledge of Android or iOS technology is a plus.
· Knowledge of SCM tools (Git, Bitbucket) and CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) is a plus.
· Previous experience working in the Medical Device industry (FDA/ISO regulated) is a plus.
· Good written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
· Must be able to lift up to 20lbs regularly
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs infrequently
· Must be able to reach overhead
· Sitting or standing for periods of time
· Occasionally be able to work on weekends as needed to support projects

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $26.54 - $39.88. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
