Job Purpose:
The Global Client Business (“GCB”) at BlackRock is focused on creating a ‘System for Clients’. A key component of this strategy is developing our Sales Leaders & Managers to inspire and lead our sales teams. Defining what excellence looks like and developing programs and experiences for Sales Leaders & Managers will be a critical component to the role. The vehicle for Sales Leadership development will be the BlackRock Client Relationship Academy (BCRA).
Role Description:
The role will be a key member of BlackRock’s Global Client Business Learning & Development team within the Client Platform Team, responsible for the design, implementation and content creation for Sales Leaders & Managers development. The role is a global with the initial stage focused on design and strategy for the Americas region first.

We seek someone that is a high-energy, self-motivated individual excited to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who will proactively contribute ideas, execute on creating critical content, and is passionate about the ongoing mission of being a student of the markets, technology and our clients. Given the broad range of projects and stakeholders, the candidate should feel comfortable engaging across functional areas and across hierarchies. The right candidate must also have strong design and project management skills, being able to oversee and manage different projects and priorities at the same time.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategize and lead the learning/discovery assignments to understand the current and future learning opportunities for Sales Leaders and Managers in the Americas
- Partner with senior sales leadership across GCB to build and execute a learning strategy focused on Sales Leaders and Managers that align to strategic initiatives across the business.
- Design, execute and facilitate programming and learning development opportunities for Sales Leaders and Managers based on roles, tenure and business of the participants.
- Provide coaching to sales leaders and managers on how to maximize performance of sales teams. This may be in the form of monthly coaching sessions to program participants.
- Create or engage third party to execute feedback assessments for Sales Leaders and Managers to glean insights on their sales leadership development opportunities.
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders and partners to ensure curriculum supports the needs and learning is embedded into the flow of work
- Support learning through available technology including third party tools and BlackRock Academies
- Manage relationships with vendors and internal learning partners to stay connected to wider firm and GCB initiatives
- Manage the budget for Sales Leadership & Manager curriculum
Qualifications:
- 10+ years work experience, preferably in sales, training and/or learning development with a focus on leadership and people manager design
- Experience and passion around developing a culture of learning and growing people
- High energy, flexible, motivated individual with a commitment to excellence and interest in learning
- Self-motivated and able to partner across business functions
- Ability to represent BlackRock in a professional manner with ability to interface directly and substantively with senior sales, business leaders and potentially clients
- Familiarity with B2B selling model or previous sales experience
- Strong design and project management skills to build curriculum for sales leaders and managers
For New York City and California only the salary range for this position is $190,000 - $240,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
