Position: Senior Sales Engineering Trainer

Location: Remote

Overview:

At Varonis, a leader in data security and analytics, we are seeking a Head of Sales Engineering Enablement to lead our enablement team. This role involves strategic leadership and management of a team responsible for the onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of our sales engineering staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales engineering within the cybersecurity domain, coupled with proven experience in team leadership and talent development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Team Leadership and Development: Lead the Sales Engineering Enablement team. Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance management.

· Manage Enablement Frameworks: Drive the development and maintenance of technical systems, testing labs, and sales demos to support the Sales Engineers and Partner Solution Architects

· Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for sales engineering enablement, aligning with Varonis’ business goals and sales objectives.

· Hiring and Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment and hiring process for the enablement team, ensuring the selection of highly skilled and motivated individuals.

· Training Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for sales engineers, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.

· Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership across sales, marketing, product management, and R&D to ensure cohesive strategy and execution of enablement initiatives.

· Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics for the enablement team, driving continuous improvement and effectiveness in sales engineering practices.

Qualifications:

· Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing sales engineering teams, with a focus on enablement and talent development.

· Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in areas such as Cloud Security, DLP, SIEM, Security operations, data security, information security, data governance, and threat detection.

· Industry Experience: Extensive experience (8+ years) in sales engineering, technical enablement, or related roles within the cybersecurity industry.

· Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.

Technical Skills:

· In-depth understanding of networking and security technologies.

· Experience with scripting languages and technical tools relevant to cyber security.
