Job description

LOCATION:
Hybrid/Remote Position

TRAVEL:

Rockledge, FL. Office (5-10 times per year)


JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Controller is responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies. This is full-time exempt role.


PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
  • Experience: Two to four years of experience managing/ supervising a finance team.
  • Experience with government contracts a plus.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of/ experience with global ERP and consolidation software systems (Unanet, Deltek, Management Reporting.


CORE DUTIES:

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Establish a process to accurately forecast and budge the P&L, balance sheet and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Coordinate and direct year-end audits.
  • Manage all accounting operations for the business.
  • Project assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Responsible for analytics at month-end and quarter-end (P&L and balance sheet flux analysis, operating segment flux analysis.
  • Working closely with local finance/accounting teams to educate, implement and ensure compliance with global process and policies.
  • Ad-hoc technical accounting research of US GAAP-related issues
  • Ownership of the close calendar.
