Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs) for NLP tasks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to build and optimize LLM-based applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement LLM solutions effectively.
• Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining models in production.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in AI and NLP.
• Utilize SQL and BigQuery for data analysis and processing.
• Work with Looker to create visualizations and reports based on model outputs.
• Interface with tools like HubSpot and Fivetran to enhance the workflow and data processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture.
• Leverage GCP serverless tools, such as Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub, for efficient data processing.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into BigQuery for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness within GCP.
• Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliability and data integrity across environments.

Requirements

• Experience in designing and implementing ETL workflows in cloud environments, preferably GCP.
• Proficiency in SQL and the ability to work with large datasets in BigQuery.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of data workflows and orchestration of GCP services.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, specifically in compute (e.g., Compute Engine) and storage (e.g., Cloud Storage, BigQuery).
• Experience with APIs and software development best practices. For example, be able to implement the Fivetran API to automate the extraction and synchronization of data from various data sources to a central data warehouse. Or use the Stripe API to develop tools regarding payments.
• Basic understanding of NLP concepts and LLMs.
• Exposure to Looker and other visualization tools.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with data processing and model optimization techniques. For example, be responsible for processing large datasets stored in Google BigQuery, use SQL to write optimized queries, extract the data in Sheets, and create a Looker Dashboard.
• Hands-on experience with GCP’s data processing tools such as Dataflow.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/GKE) for ETL deployment on GCP virtual machines.
• Knowledge of serverless best practices and cost optimization strategies within GCP.
• Understanding of GCP IAM (Identity and Access Management) for secure data handling across services.
• Exposure to HubSpot, Stripe, Quickbooks, bill.com
• Business background.
• English level: B1
