 Database and Systems Operator

BME is part of the SIX group (with headquarter in Zurich, Switzerland) and forms a critical part of the Spanish financial infrastructure. Are you enthusiastic about exciting projects in the financial industry and would like to work in a self-organized environment where collaboration, trust, and innovation are paramount? Then become part of our Post Trade IT Operation department. We are looking for a bright mind to help us move forward in giving best support as an IT Operator with Oracle DB background. You will work in a global environment joining our multicultural team which provides first and second level support to our Business Unit applications. This position is located in Madrid (Las Rozas) with a remote working hybrid model (40% presential and 60% remote).
 

 

What You Bring 

 

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher Education Certificate in Information Technology or similar
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • OS (linux and windows) and DB knowledge (Oracle)
  • Advanced knowledge regarding Oracle DB architecture including PL/SQL
  • Previous experience in a similar position administering Oracle DB systems
  • DevOps practices and tools understanding will be valuable
     

What You Will Do 
  • Provide 1st level support (monitoring, job scheduling controlling, etc.)
  • Provide 2nd level support (application troubleshooting plus SYSadmin and DBadmin)
  • Implement automation for specific tasks and processes
  • Interact with IT application and Business teams
  • Give operations support as DBAdmin (DDL, DML, Data Types, DB Objects, etc.)
  • Offer additional level support for DB (analysis of queres, performance, logs and data files, etc.)
