Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Sales Commission Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will take the lead in analyzing, designing, and optimizing sales commission structures while providing strategic insights that drive sales performance and profitability. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate commission calculations and fostering collaboration between finance and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Commission Strategy Development: Inform the design and implementation of sales commission plans that motivate and reward performance while aligning with corporate objectives.
Commission Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of sales commission programs to identify trends, effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Data Management: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of commission data, timely calculations, and adherence to established guidelines.
Reporting and Insights: Prepare and deliver detailed reports on commission expenditures, sales performance metrics, and forecasting to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing commission-related forecasting models to project future commission expenses based on sales trends and performance.
Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to understand compensation structures and address inquiries related to commission plans, providing guidance and support as needed, as well as clarity in cases of discrepancies.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance commission calculations and reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding commission structures and payments.
Training Support: Assist in the development of training materials and programs to educate the sales team on commission policies and performance metrics.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on sales compensation or incentive programs.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling and experience with Salesforce.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
