Schedule:

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours flexible up to 40 hours per week. 30 minutes unpaid meal break per day

Job Description

As a Purchasing Agent, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing costs and ensuring financial accuracy for this multi-state exterior remodeling operation. Dive into a world of numbers, leveraging your sharp analytical skills to review and process substantial material invoices, compare pricing against master lists, and perform critical job costing analysis. Responsibilities
  • Scrutinize and process material invoices exceeding $1 million monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms
  • Conduct meticulous comparisons between invoices and master pricing lists to spot and report discrepancies
  • Perform comprehensive job costing analysis to determine project profitability and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze labor invoices from subcontracted crews, ensuring alignment with project scopes and budgets
  • Identify and report pricing inconsistencies or errors, contributing to cost optimization strategies
  • Communicate findings, discrepancies, and recommendations clearly and concisely via email
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance team to streamline purchasing processes and enhance financial performance
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, accounting, or related field, preferably in construction or remodeling
  • Strong accounting background with a keen eye for numerical details
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with ability to articulate complex financial information clearly
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with construction materials and terminology, particularly in siding, roofing, windows, and doors (preferred)
  • Adaptability to work across different time zones and manage multi-state projects
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for financial analysis and reporting (specific tools to be provided by the client)
