💼 About the position:

Join us as an Industrial Procurement Leader. Work with our P&L team and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning with the company's priorities. You'll be responsible for lead our operational efforts to bring clean solar energy to Mexico, driving impact as we prepare to double our growth each year over the coming years, expanding and strengthening our P&L team will be essential to our success, and play a pivotal role in aligning the team's priorities with Bright's mission. You will report directly to our Head of Operations and oversee all procurement, logistics, and supply chain management aspects. Key responsibilities include developing cost-saving and growth-oriented procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring on-time, quality deliveries, and compliance with procurement policies.

Tareas

💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Identify, recruit and onboard vendors ensuring they deliver best in class costs and quality of work
  • (i.e. Manage the portfolio of contractors, maintain and update the recruiting process to keep it as simple and smooth as possible, constantly).
  • Oversee tenders and per project negotiations with vendors
  • (i.e. Lead tender processes and coordinate kick of calls with the engineering team as well as reviewing and validating quotes).
  • Manage and improve vendor contractor performance
  • (i.e. Maintain and improve a vendor scorecard and create performance improvement plans with vendors).


🎯 Your Key Results will be:

At Bright, we operate on the Objective Key Results system pioneered at Intel and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results (upon which your success will be measured) is:

  • Objective: Capture 30% market share in Mexico's industrial solar sector.
  • Key Result: 2.5 MWs installed from Industrial projects (50% of 1.8MWs Oct Goal + 1.6MWs of 2024 YTD backlog) with IRR (measured at commissioning) > 22% during Q4
  • Leading Indicators:
  • Time from projects’ Welcome Call to Commissioning < 70 days (0.25 days/kW)
  • 14-day trailing of Ops industrial pre-approval deliverables approved within SLA =100%

  • Requisitos

    🥇 Who you are:

    • You have been part of a former procurement and logistic team and have experience building processes in a startup environment.
    • (i.e., You played a key role in a startup's procurement and logistics team, developing and implementing supply chain processes that increased efficiency by 30% and reduced operational costs by 15%).
    • You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management or something related.
    • (i.e., You earned a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, equipping you with foundational knowledge that you applied to optimize inventory management and reduce lead times in your previous role).
    • You have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in supply chain management.
    • (i.e., You accumulated over three years of hands-on experience in supply chain management, where you successfully managed vendor relationships and improved delivery timelines by 25%).
    • You have strong knowledge of the Procurement and Logistics Industry and desire to grow within this field.
    • (i.e., You developed a comprehensive understanding of the Procurement and Logistics Industry, enabling you to identify market trends and implement strategies that enhanced supplier performance and negotiation outcomes).
    • You are comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely.
    • You have 5+ years of experience in Financial Management experience in low-margin industry:
    • (i.e., You managed budgets ranging from $1M to $5M USD per month in a low-margin logistics environment, implementing cost-control measures that improved profit margins by 10% while maintaining service quality).
    • Supply Chain Optimization:
    • (i.e., You successfully optimized supply chain processes, achieving a 20% cost reduction and a 15% improvement in lead times, consistently exceeding industry benchmarks for efficiency and responsiveness).
    • (i.e., You negotiated favorable vendor contracts that extended credit terms to over 90 days, secured credit lines exceeding $1 million, and reduced delivery times to under 7 days, resulting in improved cash flow and supply reliability).
    • (i.e., You effectively managed supply and demand for a diverse range of clients, handling 1,300 deliveries per month for residential and small commercial clients, and 26 deliveries per month for industrial customers, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction).
    • Preferred:
    • You have a certification in Lean Six Sigma, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or related.
    • You have a proven track record managing international suppliers.
    • (i.e., You have a strong track record of managing international suppliers, successfully navigating cultural and logistical challenges to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance across borders).
    • You are hungry and scrappy (can get your hands dirty, biases toward action, and don't need a large support team.
    • (i.e., You demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, often taking initiative in high-pressure situations and achieving significant results without relying on a large support team).
