At 8x8 Inc. [Nasdaq:EGHT] we put communications at the heart of our business and build technology that allows people to connect anytime, anywhere they are in the world, and on any device. The Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager, Demo Storytelling, will be the key architect for building and delivering compelling product narratives through demonstration environments and experiences. This role requires a unique blend of creative storytelling and technical insight, along with the ability to deeply understand and showcase the 8x8 Platform for Customer Experience (CX) capabilities in a way that resonates with varied audiences - from executive buyers to industry analysts to technical evaluators. This is not your typical demo role; we are looking for someone who can break away from “day-in-the-life” scenarios and bring fresh, differentiated narratives that highlight use cases, solve customer pain points, and articulate the core benefits of the 8x8 platform.

Responsibilities

  • Demo Storytelling Strategy - Develop and own the strategy for creating engaging and impactful demo environments that align with go-to-market campaigns, industry/vertical use cases, product launches, and sales plays.

  • Narrative Creation - Craft product narratives that address real-world use cases, pain points, and benefits, rather than just highlighting features.

  • Demo Environment Development - Build, configure, and manage demo environments to support various storytelling needs across personas, segments, geographies, and industry verticals.

  • Scalability and Replication - Establish scalable processes, document demo configurations, scripts, and reset procedures to enable other teams to replicate demo environments and deliver consistent messaging.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure demo stories align with 8x8’s broader messaging and product roadmap.

  • Brand and Target Alignment - Align all demos with the 8x8 brand and corporate messaging, deliberately selecting each visual and spoken detail to reinforce key messages and engage the target audience.

  • Demo Enablement and Training - Train sales teams, partners, and other stakeholders to deliver demos, helping to scale your talents across the organization.

  • Technology Scaling - Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and innovative tools to scale demo environments, create on-demand experiences, and increase engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience - 8+ years in product marketing, sales, sales engineering, technical communications, or related fields with a strong focus on demos and storytelling, ideally with a SaaS solution provider.

  • Technical Proficiency - Ability to quickly grasp complex technologies and build demo environments from scratch, configure product features, and troubleshoot issues autonomously.

  • Narrative Expertise - Proven experience crafting narratives that communicate use cases, solutions, and value propositions without relying on standard “day-in-the-life” approaches.

  • Attention to Detail - Meticulous attention to every visual, technical, and narrative detail to ensure demos are high-impact and purpose-driven.

  • Cross-Functional Skills - Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop impactful demo environments that align with company messaging, including the ability to lead with and without authority to gain alignment.

  • Adaptability - Creative thinker who can shift gears, navigate ambiguity, and develop new ideas to tell the 8x8 story in engaging, non-repetitive ways.

  • Self-Starter - Proactive and resourceful, able to dive into complex platforms, master new tools quickly, and build out scalable demo assets with minimal supervision.

  • Documentation and Enablement - Skilled in documenting demo configuration, scripts, and training materials for broad team enablement.

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Technical certifications are a plus.

  • Travel - Ability to travel 50% or greater when dictated by the needs of the business and safe to do so. Proximity to a major airport is a plus.
