Job Summary

RailPros is seeking a Railroad Safety Instructor to join our team. This remote role in Mexico requires 75% travel within Mexico.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging railroad safety training programs both in-person and virtually via video conferencing tools like MS Teams.
  • Provide technical support to trainees during and after sessions to ensure effective application of skills.
  • Utilize the RailPros Learning Management System (LMS) for managing training activities, including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and assessment results.
  • Monitor and report on training metrics, including participation and feedback, to enhance program quality continually.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of existing and new training courses.
  • Support training administration by coordinating with the training delivery and operations teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3+ years in training, with a strong record of effective instruction for adult learners.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in FRA and/or industry-specific safety and railroad regulations in Mexico.
  • Skills: Advanced bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (both written and spoken), strong presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 75% within Mexico and 25% within the United States.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years in railroad or construction safety, with a thorough understanding of industry safety protocols and regulations.
  • Experience with heavy equipment, with a focus on safety risks and protocols.
  • Strong communication and instructional abilities.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a passport for international travel.
