* This role is with Members Development Company, HR and back-office administration provided by TruStage.

Job Purpose:

In this pivotal role, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be instrumental in fortifying relationships with Members Development Company (MDC) credit union owners and partners, with a specific emphasis on enhancing engagement within the MDC network. The ideal candidate will leverage their comprehensive experience in analyzing credit union financials, utilizing platforms like Callahan, PowerBI, Tableau, and others, to formulate and execute strategies that align MDC with the unique needs and nuances of credit unions for today and tomorrow, thus elevating the overall value proposition.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Coordinate seamlessly with MDC's strategic roadmap, fostering a nuanced and profound awareness of evolving trends within the credit union movement and the broader financial industry.
  • Collaborate synergistically with key internal departments, including marketing, communications, finance, project management, and the senior leadership team, ensuring a robust fact-based decision-making process that addresses strategic needs and challenges assumptions. This requires effective leadership, the establishment of credibility with owner stakeholders, and gaining the support and confidence of the MDC team.
  • Innovatively recommend market-based processes to enhance internal operational efficiencies, contributing to MDC's overarching strategic goals.

Strategic Partnerships (MDC Owners and Partners):

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to analyze customer insights, optimize interactions, and drive proactive, personalized engagement, leveraging advanced analytical tools to enhance MDC's responsiveness and alignment with evolving credit union needs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in supporting key partnerships with third parties that deliver substantial value to MDC's expansive network.
  • Evaluate and recommend products and services from partners, ensuring a quantitative and qualitative alignment with MDC owner credit unions' unique needs and expectations.
  • Serve as an owner advocate, ensuring their needs are met during onboarding and redeployments. Convey insights to enhance processes and deliver an exceptional owner experience more effectively.
  • Create and maintain all process documentation and provide clear feedback for continuous improvement within project, product, and engagement capabilities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and trends impacting owners, reporting as needed.

Product Management:

  • Support the life cycle of products, from their initial creation through seamless adoption by owners post-handoff from the project management office or strategic relationships established by MDC.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to manage and lead all phases of the product lifecycle, including launch, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
  • Identify innovative new products that empower credit unions to grow their businesses, gain a competitive edge, or enhance operational efficiency, fostering a transformation from mere products to strategic partnerships.
  • Track and manage partner contracts from execution through the dissolution of the partnership.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a four-year degree in a finance/business discipline, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of progressively challenging experience within a business environment, with a distinct focus on credit unions.
  • Showcase a proven track record of expertise in developing and analyzing intricate financial and business models.
  • Exemplify strong strategic thinking abilities, capable of creating a vision and implementing tactically aligned plans.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills, displaying a results-driven bias and the ability to manage multiple diverse projects effectively.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, encompassing oral, written, listening, and presentation abilities to the c-suite, coupled with a high-level interactive and team-oriented skill set.
  • Display a dynamic and energetic style, capable of expressing ideas persuasively and engagingly influencing others.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and curiosity, combining resilience in the face of obstacles with a passion for success.
  • Showcase solid judgment, collaborative instincts, and a robust team-player mentality, contributing to a positive and productive culture for the company.
