Job Description

We are currently looking for a Director, Sales Incentive Strategy & Performance Management to join our growing team! In this role, you will have extensive compensation and sales operations experience with Sales teams within Enterprise and Wholesale space. An accomplished incentive compensation and sales performance leader will be someone whose expertise translates into the realization for both our short-term and long-term business objectives. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual who will be responsible for leading a team of individuals responsible for the development of an incentive plan design, plan distribution, commission calculations, policy governance, and analysis of overall plan effectiveness.

As the Director, Sales Incentive Strategy & Performance Management, you will have the following duties:

  • Manage a team of sales operations professionals responsible for development of incentive strategies, development of quotas and pay plans, monthly delivery of incentive performance and pay calculations
  • Develop relationships with key senior internal stakeholders including Sales, Service Delivery, Sales Operations, HR, Legal, and Finance
  • Partner with internal stakeholders at all levels to develop sales incentive compensation plans for our Enterprise, Small Business, Wholesale, Engineering, and Operations teams that align with the right business outcomes to drive growth
  • Create relationships and develop compensation plans for external agents and partners
  • Manage incentive spiff programs to drive performance and activity outside of the annual commissions plan
  • Develop and execute revenue assurance programs including inspection of sales to billing to ensure proper capture of sold revenue and commissions paid, sale cancellations, and early termination of services
  • Create robust performance management and reporting capabilities to manage pay- for-performance analytics and individual seller performance
  • Oversee program development for annual sales incentive trip
  • Manage development and distribution of training, presentation, and other materials for compensation program rollouts
  • Analyze current infrastructure and processes and work with IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations to implement improvements
  • Oversee plan and commission disputes from internal employees and external agents/partners
  • Accountable for ensuring plans and processes meet all legal requirement, SOX requirements and conform to internal policies

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or HR
  • 10+ years of Sales Compensation experience
  • 5+ years Management experience
  • Telecommunications or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytic and reporting background.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to analyze and review current processes, identifying areas for improvement and taking appropriate action; lean six sigma experience preferred.
  • Excellent IT skills ideally with advanced Excel skills, prior Anaplan knowledge is a plus
