Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planning Lead to work part -time remotely and be based in the Dallas, TX office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall quality of staff’s work and oversees projects.
  • Works under minimal supervision. 
  • Directs, manages and evaluates the activities, responsibilities and personnel in an area of planning. 
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining assignment objectives. 
  • Work is reviewed through consultation and agreement.
  • Local client relationships and understanding of local markets.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education,

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Planning or related degree
  • 8+ years of experience in planning and transportation projects
  • Technical background across a number of key specialty areas related to transportation planning, potentially including demographic/economic analyses, capital infrastructure planning, transit operations, traffic modeling, transportation safety analysis/audits, principles of street design, etc.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and/or tasks
  • Experience with managing people at various experience levels and ability to mentor with their career development.
  • Knowledge of local clients
  • AICP certification

  • Some travel is required for this position.

  • Offered rate of compensation in (Texas state-wide) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $60/hour to $80.41/hour.
