Job description

Responsible for coordinating and tracking IT Conditional Approval across multiple divisions of IT. Develops information from subject matter experts into standardized formats for technology purchases. Evaluates and records cost impact for renewals budget planning. Manages conditional approval queue and appropriate communication. Acts as point of contact for “IT as an internal vendor” for requestors. Monitor quoting, approval, allocation, and chargeback processes to be completed within University policy. Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

75%: Identifying and assessing software vulnerabilities using both manual methods and automated tools. Mentor software developers in adopting secure coding techniques and secure coding standards. Assist product development teams in establishing static analysis and security testing processes. Promote security mindset throughout software development from design to implementation to testing. Evaluate new technologies and tools to detect, triage, and mitigate software security defects. Identify and addressing weakness in the existing software development life cycle with a goal to improve overall software security. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

25%: Perform application administration tasks.

Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies

A bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline and ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly required. Must be able to work with outside vendors and internal customers in a professional manner. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills.
