Team & position summary

As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will serve as a key strategic partner, providing guidance on HR-related matters and helping to shape the culture and performance of our organization. You will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering employee engagement, and enhancing performance management practices to support our rapid growth.

The impact you will have:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with People leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Talent Retention: Partner with hiring managers to develop and implement effective, customized retention strategies to each of their team and reports unique situations, ensuring we retain top talent.
  • Employee Development: Identify training and development needs, and create programs to foster employee growth and career progression.
  • Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and a culture of continuous feedback.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution strategies to promote a positive work environment.
  • Culture & Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance company culture and employee engagement, ensuring alignment with our core values and mission.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Utilize data to track HR performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes that may impact the organization.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering in a high-growth environment, preferably within the tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of employee development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and leverage insights for strategic decision-making.

About the Team:

  • TRM Labs’ People Team operates with a remote-first philosophy, ensuring collaboration and high impact across time zones. We work asynchronously to stay connected and aligned, using tools such as Slack, Notion, and Zoom to communicate and collaborate efficiently. Our culture emphasizes ownership, transparency, and trust, empowering team members to make decisions and move quickly.
  • As a globally distributed team, members may observe different timezones. However, most of the team will overlap between the hours of 7am-12pm PST for meetings and collaboration.
  • All team members, regardless of location must have at least 4 hour overlap with PST business hours.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Review engagement survey results with managers within 10 days and develop actionable next steps within the following quarter.
  • Partner with managers to implement PIPs within 3 days of identifying a need for structured support.
  • Conduct strategic check-ins with managers by the end of each quarter, tracking progress on talent initiatives and team priorities.
