Good news, 1WorldSync is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer - Europe to join the team in our Lisbon, Portugal office.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, IT Systems Administration, the Desktop Support Engineer - Europe will be a member of a team supporting 1WorldSync’s corporate networks and IT systems to meet the needs of the business. Areas of responsibility include the support and maintenance of LAN/WAN network systems connecting 1WorldSync Offices and cloud-based services, the support and administration of productivity tools including Google Workspace and Atlassian Cloud, Microsoft Azure AD cloud resources, and the administration of endpoint devices and mobile device management solutions. 
As Desktop Support Engineer - Europe  at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following: 
  • Complete support requests regarding IT Helpdesk, Google Workspace, and Atlassian Cloud
  • Configure laptops and troubleshoot end-user laptop issues
  • Complete end-user support requests to ensure staff productivity 
  • Complete project work and participate in IT initiatives
  • Administer Google Workspace Environment
  • Administer Atlassian Cloud Environment
  • Administer Microsoft Azure and Intune Environments 
  • Administer Cisco Meraki Network environment
  • Maintain and monitor IPSec tunnels and VPN connections and Manage Network equipment
  • Utilize 1WorldSync Management tools (Intune, NinjaRMM, Zoom, TrendMicro)
  • Provide documentation, track KPIs, and maintain reports of systems
  • Follow and participate in security initiatives as needed
  • Maintain and manage all hardware inventory 
  • Create and maintain documentation related to corporate IT processes and procedures
  • Onboarding new employees and conducting meet-and-greet sessions when distributing equipment
  • Partner with the Facilities team on special projects and other miscellaneous items
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree and experience
  • 2+ years experience in Network or IT administration
  • Comfortable with English - written and spoken 
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to communicate and train the end-user community on support issues effectively
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively with all management tiers
  • Experience working with cloud-based services, hosted in Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration and or Atlassian Cloud administration
  • Experience using Mobile Device Management solutions
  • Expertise with OSI model and troubleshooting techniques based on that model
  • Experience with configuration and administration of network components

Additional Details:
