Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary General Manager to spearhead the growth and influence of our International Development (ID) division. This role presents a unique chance to drive a business that operates at the cutting-edge of geospatial AI (GeoAI) technology within the realm of International Development, setting a benchmark for impactful product delivery and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Formulate and execute strategies to broaden the ID business unit by identifying, securing, and finalizing substantial enterprise-level contracts, alongside related grant applications and proposals.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with potential partners and clients within the ID sector.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and sustain strategic alliances across the International Development landscape, collaborating with specialized firms, vendors, subject matter experts, and local stakeholders.
  • Project Oversight: Supervise the management and execution of both short-term and multi-year funded initiatives to secure the success of clients and partners.
  • Technical Leadership: Offer technical direction and quality assurance, akin to a principal investigator, by designing integrated solutions architectures.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Engage proactively with product, engineering, and research teams to guide roadmap decisions informed by market demands and customer insights.
  • Team Development: Lead and cultivate a high-performing team committed to excellence in the International Development sector.
  • Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resources, and contract stipulations in collaboration with the Operations team.

Required Skills

  • A robust network encompassing funders, major development organizations, NGOs, and government entities.
  • A proven sales background in technology-driven products or data solutions.
  • Technical expertise in geospatial AI or related data and analytics fields.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities and technical credibility.

Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in a quantitative or mixed-methods field is highly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience within the International Development ecosystem, particularly in data and analytics technology solutions. A thorough understanding of sector dynamics, key players, and emerging trends is critical.
  • A consistent record of at least 5 years in selling technology-driven products or data solutions, showcasing the ability to meet defined business objectives in entrepreneurial settings.
  • Proven experience leading cross-disciplinary teams to successfully complete research and applied investigative projects.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary range for this position is \(150,000 - \)180,000, commensurate with experience and location. Performance-based compensation will comprise a significant part of total earnings, complemented by equity participation.
