Company Profile:

Our client is a Global (Australia, USA, UK) clothing online retail company. Head office in Melbourne, Australia. We also have second-tier offices in Miami Florida, London UK, and Oslo, Norway. We have remote workers in the Philippines.

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

As a Bookkeeper, you will be in charge of the company's accurate and timely bookkeeping.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accrual basis bookkeeping for 3x Xero files
  1. Freddy AU
  2. Freddy USA
  3. Freddy UK
  • Categorization of bank and credit card transactions - Weekly
  • Month-end Reconciliations to provided Bank Statements & Payment Gateways
  • Custom journal entries - incl. COGS/Inventory Adj./Prepaids/Accruals
  • Receipt/Expense Mgmt incl. via HubDoc (including following up with internal and external stakeholders and investigating any discrepancies)
  • Monthly P&L & Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Aim to close accurate books no later than the 10th day of Month-end

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping or a similar field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Shopify, eCommerce, Xero bookkeeper
  • Certified Public Accountant - advantageous but not required.
  • Great time management skills and ability to work with short deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, Accurate, Proactive, and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Must have experience with the following tech:

  • Xero
  • Shopify
  • Google sheets
  • G-mail
  • Slack

Not essential but highly desirable tech experience:

  • A2X
  • Hubdoc

Job type: Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday; Australian AEST 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM PH time)
