We are now looking for a Functional Safety Engineer.


Location: Germany


As a Functional Safety Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of functional safety of our client's standards, according to ISO 26262. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess, guide, and ensure that safety-critical systems meet high standards of quality and reliability.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage with team to understand, adapt and improve systems to meet functional safety goals
  • Collaborate with teams to identify risks and define safety goals, ensuring safety analysis methods are effectively applied.
  • Engage with engineering teams to adapt and improve systems to meet functional safety objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding the team on best practices for system safety and compliance


Requirements:

  • Experience in automotive systems and functional safety analysis methods as per ISO 26262.
  • Understanding of ISO 26262 Parts 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
  • System engineering and analysis skills, with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of the latest automotive hardware and software solutions, along with best practices for functional safety.
  • Ability to produce formal documentation to a highly professional standard.
  • Great collaborative skills, and a proactive approach to team leadership.
  • Experience in risk management, safety case development, and compliance with safety goals.
