Remote Instructor | WFH for Adult Literacy

Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Adult Literacy Instructor to guide dynamic classes using the Ready and Relevant curriculum. This pivotal role directly contributes to our organization's mission by ensuring a superior educational experience for our students. You will provide outstanding instruction and support, facilitating learners in achieving their educational objectives and surmounting challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver stimulating classes in specified locations, both virtually and in-person.
• Provide guidance and referrals to assist students in overcoming barriers and navigating transition needs associated with program involvement.
• Coordinate the assessment and evaluation of students to track their academic progress.
• Design standards-aligned lesson plans and related materials for each instructional session, ensuring all documentation is systematically organized in a centralized folder.
• Engage in professional development and continuous training to improve teaching effectiveness and enhance student success.
• Collect, analyze, and review key student performance data, including attendance, assessment results, learning objectives, and feedback to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and foster program improvement.
• Monitor student progress and address any emerging challenges to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and grant stipulations.
• Collaborate with internal committees and teams, as well as external stakeholders, to improve service delivery.
• Follow organizational protocols and processes to ensure effective operational performance.
• Provide leadership and share expertise with local and regional partners.
• Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related discipline.
• Preferably, experience in teaching adult learners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google applications, and other digital platforms.

This is a full-time position, which may require some evening work.

Physical Demands
