Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We are looking for a seasoned Product leader for the Editor team. This team is responsible for all of the core Figma features related to editing and design systems, as well as shaping the core editor functionality that other products use as a foundation. We are looking for a visionary leader who can elevate the capabilities of the Editor for the Design community, while also refining the tool and making it simpler, and more accessible. In this role you will be uniquely positioned to advance the state of the art for how UX design works across industry leading software companies.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Lead a team of world class Managers and PMs that cover virtually all aspects of the Figma Editor, including general editor UI, text, vectors, layout, components, styles, variables, and more
  • Partner with Design and Engineering leads to build the vision for the future of the Editor, and define the roadmap and strategy for execution
  • Elevate the Product organization’s operations to accelerate decision making and execution
  • Coach and develop PM’s and managers across the organization
  • Represent Figma in the Design community and our growing user base
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 8+ years of experience leading Product teams
  • Domain experience collaborating with Designers
  • Experience working on products with significant technical complexity
  • Experience driving strategy for products with broad needs that affect a large number of other teams
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Experience with design tools, or a background in design
  • Proven track record of improving operations and accelerating execution and efficiency
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
