The Opportunity:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a high performing seller to come in and be our one and only sales rep as we continue to expand our B2B sales motion. As our resident expert in health plan sales, you’ll have a very unique opportunity to build out a sales playbook that our growing revenue org will use as we scale. Your performance and potential will heavily influence the opportunity you will have to build a team out over time…however, to be clear, this role will start as an IC role. You’ll have the opportunity to develop strategy, but we expect you to be even better in the weeds of generating pipelines and closing deals.

Beyond that, there is tremendous financial upside to being our primary closer. What You'll Own:

  • Above all…close business. You’ll have support from an all-star team of hand-picked advisors who are helping generate pipeline. Your number one priority above all else is to close business and you’ll have the support of the entire leadership team to get it done

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive payer partnership strategy to drive revenue growth and increase market share

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders at health plans and develop a deep understanding of their needs and priorities

  • Develop and execute a sales process to move prospects through the contracting phase, including negotiation of contract terms and pricing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that demonstrate the value of Blueberry Pediatrics' services

  • Represent Blueberry Pediatrics at industry conferences and events to build brand awareness and expand our network of contacts

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in payer policies and regulations

  • Prospect via email and linkedin

  • This role will include travel as necessary to attend conferences/events

Experience You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of full cycle closing experience selling to large health plans. This is non-negotiable…if you haven’t sold into health plans before and don’t already understand the barriers you’ll have to overcome, this role is not the right fit for you

  • You are an exceptional closer as demonstrated by your track record of attaining/exceeding quota

  • Fluent in developing customized proposals, pricing strategy, contracting process, deal structure and contract negotiation

  • Self-motivated and strategic thinker with the ability to flex, innovate, and solve problems creatively

  • Ideally experience working within startup environments so that you understand the urgency of moving & learning quickly

  • Existing relationships with payers is a plus, but not required

*Expected compensation for this role: $100k - 140k base salary. OTE 200-280k (50/50 split) Placement within range depends on experience and location.
