Social Media Measurement analyst (Rapid response)

Fixed term contract

We are looking for a Social Media Measurement Analyst to join our team and work on our technology client. The analyst will identify, monitor, escalate, and report emerging social media trends. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to quantify conversations about the brand, recommend optimisations, and scale the program across different products and regions. They will also play a crucial role in identifying, monitoring, and reporting on reputational issues on social media. As this role includes a large element of rapid response, you may be expected to work sporadically outside of your regular working hours. 

Role:

Trend Monitoring and Reporting

  • Manage proactive monitoring systems to identify and respond to emerging social media trends using Brandwatch, Sprinklr, NewsWhip, and Tubular.
  • Collaborate with agency teams to monitor social trends and insights, participating in a 24/7 on-call system and sharing findings internally. 
  • Produce clear insights and action items for product teams through daily reports during significant trend volumes.
  • Translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for internal marketing teams and agencies.
  • Lead discussions on Social campaign measurement (with a focus on Earned & Owned Social) between marketing teams and agencies.

Social-First Operations and Infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain central Social-First operations to enable program success.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions for existing and new deliverables (e.g., newsletters, databases).
  • Manage benchmarking sheets, a Social-First database, and a dashboard for improved reporting.
  • Support local markets in developing consistent measurement frameworks for key tentpole Social campaigns.

Stakeholder Management and Education

  • Manage complex stakeholders across various organisations (marketing, comms, product teams, regions/markets).
  • Increase education and awareness about the Social-First program and its importance.
  • Ensure all major campaigns receive Social-First support.
  • Create custom Brandwatch/Newswhip/Tubular builds with specific queries for individual teams.
  • Own and maintain a daily newsletter covering social trends and conversation topics.
  • Create learning decks showcasing best practices to enhance campaign effectiveness and creative excellence.

Influencer and Sentiment Analysis

  • Leverage expertise to improve Social-First efforts focused on influential voices and tastemakers.
  • Develop queries and monitoring systems to identify strategically relevant sentiment.
  • Ensure important influencer trends are surfaced and escalated to relevant team stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve methodology for working with brand-safe partners.

Innovation and Experimentation

  • Dedicate at least 10% of working time to initiate independent experimental projects deemed valuable, even if not explicitly requested.

You:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media analysis for global brands and 5+ years in marketing (preferably digital) for technology companies or agencies.
  • Expert knowledge of social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr) and Boolean logic.
  • Proven track record managing social media intelligence for large brands.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and strong analytical skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and managing complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, independent, with initiative in analysis, reporting, and story-based narratives.
  • Up-to-date on social measurement trends, ideally with reputation management and influencer marketing experience.
  • Skilled in data visualisation tools and marketing analytics platforms for audience behaviour and campaign analysis.
  • An appreciation of structure, clarity, simplicity and efficiency in everything you do.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, ability to set goals/KPIs, and translate data into actionable insights.
