Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instructional Designer and Resource Developer to create engaging, learner-centered experiences for high school students studying Business qualifications. This role will involve developing interactive, age-appropriate learning and assessment resources using the aXcelerate LMS and Articulate. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with curriculum standards, industry trends, and is accessible to younger learners. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all resources are relevant, academically rigorous, and meet professional expectations within the business sector.

Job Description:
  • Instructional Design: Design highly interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate learning and assessment resources for high school students studying Business qualifications, utilizing Articulate 360 , Articulate rise and storyline, Axcelerate
  • Collaboration with SMEs: Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure the content is aligned with curriculum standards, engaging, and accessible to younger learners.
  • Content Development: Write and update learner guides, assessments, and other learning resources. Ensure materials are mapped to relevant criteria and performance standards, ensuring they meet compliance requirements for educational standards.
  • Research & Trends: Conduct research to maintain up-to-date content, incorporating industry trends and ensuring that resources are both relevant and aligned with current academic and professional expectations in the business sector.
  • Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure that all resources comply with relevant regulations, including those outlined by ASQA and other regulatory bodies, and meet the Standards for RTOs.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of learning materials.


Requirements
  • Instructional Design Expertise: Experience in creating learner-centered educational materials, including assessments and interactive learning resources, ideally within aXcelerate LMS and Articulate.
  • Business Education Knowledge/Interest: Ability to translate complex business concepts into engaging, age-appropriate content for high school students.
  • Content Development Skills: Experience writing and updating learner guides and assessments, mapping them to educational outcomes (such as performance criteria on training.gov.au).
  • Research and Content Curation: Strong research skills with the ability to source credible, relevant, and up-to-date industry information. Ability to provide proper references and bibliographies to accompany all resources.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas in a way that resonates with high school learners. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with managers, teachers, trainers, assessors, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail & Quality Assurance: High attention to detail, ensuring that learning materials are accurate, consistent, and compliant with educational standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are delivered on time.
  • Compliance & Accreditation Familiarity: Experience ensuring that learning resources meet the compliance standards set by VET courses and regulatory bodies (e.g., ASQA, Standards for RTOs).
