Title: Director of Accounts Receivable

Location: Remote

Reports to:  VP of Anesthesia

FLSA Classification: Exempt 

Full-Time

Salary Range: $79,000 to $96,000

* Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations.  Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.   

Position Overview: The Director of Accounts Receivable will be responsible for organizing and managing all Billing and Follow-Up functions within the Anesthesia Division. The Director will lead revenue management and drive strategies for maximizing timely payment. They will be responsible for the continuous improvement and streamlining of all AR/Billing systems and processes. The Director will be a key leader involved in management of billing process of patients & insurance while monitoring and ensuring collections of account receivables from patients & insurances

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies and implements operational efficiencies across the AR Team; focuses on process improvement, standardization, and documentation of all systems and processes.
  • Drives strategies and maximizes reimbursement for all business lines within the Anesthesia Division.
  • Promotes a team-orientated environment that fosters effective collaboration.
  • Develops processes and procedures for efficient and successful flow of interdependent information between the AR Department, Operations Department, Coding Department, and Credentialing Department.
  • Monitors compliance with all third-party payer requirements, exception handling, and appeals/denials.
  • Monitors the write-off process and credit balance process timely to ensure all efforts are made to collect due balances. 
  • Partners and integrated with the AR Department to prioritize and optimize AR/Unbilled management, account aging, and denials. 
  • Develops and modifies written policies and procedures to ensure business functions of departments are performing accurately, efficiently, and ethically.
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage technology and systems to improve overall revenue cycle functions.
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork. Demonstrates the ability to build relationships across the organization and teamwork within their organization.
  • Creates a Learning Environment; Develops staff and self through mentoring, continued education, and providing an opportunity to learn new skills.

Experience:
