Job description

🚀 Who we are

Nava Benefits is a modern benefits brokerage on a mission to fix healthcare. Nava was founded on the vision of bringing high-quality, affordable healthcare to all Americans, starting with the 49% who receive insurance through their employers. By partnering with healthcare and benefits leaders from the country's largest companies, Nava packages their insights, tools, and best practices into a scalable, unified service offering that has helped smaller employers save 8-22% on their benefits plans.

Launched by seasoned co-founders, we're a cross-functional, passionate group of leaders and operators intent on building the industry's most diverse and dynamic place to work. In 2022, Nava was proudly ranked on the Inc. Best Workplaces list and NYC Digital Health 100.

We are seeking highly accomplished and motivated Employee Benefits Brokers to join our premier Partner team. This is a pivotal role in driving Nava’s growth and delivering strategic, high-impact benefits solutions to employer groups. If you have a proven track record in the employee benefits industry, are driven by innovation, and excel in building long-term client relationships, we’d love to meet you.

This is a remote role; however, preference will be given to candidates based in California with a demonstrated history of managing California employer groups (50-5,000 employees).

🚀 What You’ll Do as a Partner:
  • Strategic Growth & Client Acquisition: You will spearhead Nava’s expansion by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the California market. Your primary focus will be on hunting—bringing in new clients while expanding your existing portfolio.

  • Advisory & Consulting: Act as a trusted consultant to employer groups, advising on benefits strategy and helping optimize their benefits solutions through customized, data-driven approaches. Your deep knowledge of employee benefits will enable you to deliver impactful insights that resonate with decision-makers.

  • Hunter’s Mindset: You’re a natural closer, constantly seeking out new opportunities. You thrive on bringing in new business and scaling your client portfolio, retaining client business and generating consistent new revenue each year.

  • Industry Expertise & Market Trends: Stay ahead of market trends, industry shifts, and emerging opportunities, using your deep understanding of the employee benefits landscape to position Nava as a leader in the market.
  • Collaboration with Client Success: While your primary focus is growth, you will collaborate closely with our Client Success team to ensure high retention rates and superior client satisfaction.
🚀 What Makes You an Ideal Fit:

We're seeking a seasoned professional, someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and who embodies our commitment to excellence and innovation. Specifically:

  • Proven Benefits Brokerage Experience: You are an experienced Benefits Broker with a successful track record of generating $500k to $2M in recurring revenue. You know how to drive year-over-year growth while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Growth-Oriented Sales Expertise: You thrive on new client acquisition and excel in developing long-term relationships that drive consistent revenue growth.
  • Strategic & Consultative Mindset: You have significant expertise in designing and delivering customized benefits solutions to employer groups of 50-5,000 employees. You excel at distilling complex benefits data into actionable, high-impact strategies.
  • Deep Knowledge of the New York Benefits Market: You bring substantial experience managing benefits programs for employer groups in the California area and understand the region’s benefits landscape.
  • Health Insurance License Required
