About The Role: 

The Marketing Manager, Trucks at CALSTART will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to promote our initiatives in these sectors. This position requires a dynamic and creative leader with a strong background in marketing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sustainable transportation solutions. The Marketing Program Manager will report to the Deputy Director of Marketing, Trucks, Off-Road, and Bus and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.   

What You’ll Do:
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the clean transportation industry focusing on the adoption of zero-emissions MHD trucks.  
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials and campaigns. California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) plays a crucial role in the deployment of zero-emission and near-zero-emission technologies. HVIP accelerates commercialization by providing point-of-sale vouchers to make advanced vehicles more affordable.  
  • Content Creation: Create and draft engaging content, including copy and initial design for brochures, emails, case studies, and social media posts.   
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.

  • What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • 5-7 years professional experience  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Design, or equivalent experience  
  • A scrappy self-starter and a strong project manager with the ability to bring structure to undefined procedures.  
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to lead projects effectively with cross-functional partners, both internally and externally.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a must, along with the ability to multitask, manage deadlines and prioritize effectively.  
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms: Monday.com, MailChimp, Hootsuite, Canva, MS office  
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.   
  • Passion for sustainability and clean transportation solutions.  

  • Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of the clean transportation technology industry and market dynamics.
