We are seeking a dynamic and thoughtful Business Marketer to drive the messaging and positioning strategy for our ad supported platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling value propositions, positioning our advertising solutions effectively and ensuring that our messaging resonates with both current and prospective advertisers. This role plays a pivotal part in building strong relationships with advertisers and maximizing revenue through well-aligned marketing strategies.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and Execute Messaging Strategy:
    • Craft clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging for the ad platform that highlights the value of advertising opportunities
    • Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels, aligning it with the platform’s overall marketing and brand strategy.
  • Advertiser Positioning:
    • Establish strong positioning for Pinterest, focusing on key advertiser segments and aligning marketing efforts to meet their needs.
    • Differentiate the platform from competitors by highlighting unique selling points such as audience quality, ad formats and performance.
  • Market and Audience Research:
    • Conduct market research to understand advertiser needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
    • Leverage data insights to develop targeted marketing strategies that resonate with specific advertiser types
  • Campaign Development and Management:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, sales, and creative, to develop marketing campaigns and content (collateral, sales decks, case studies, keynotes, etc.)  that promote the platform’s ad products.
  • Collaboration with Sales Teams: Develop strong value-based narratives that help sales teams position the platform effectively to clients.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization: Use advertiser feedback and market insights to continuously optimize positioning and campaign efforts.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in advertising, media, or ad-tech industries.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and media landscape, including the social media landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop positioning and messaging strategies for advertisers and partnering with sales organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical features into clear, compelling value propositions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, and creative teams.Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
