Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is an exceptional opportunity for professionals with experience in the manufacturing or chemical manufacturing sectors to contribute to our financial planning and analysis efforts. You will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while occasionally traveling to Houston for team engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive reports for plant management to evaluate spending, variances, and operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the financial planning lifecycle, including budget creation, re-forecasts, capital planning, and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Perform detailed analyses across business units, portfolio segments, geographic markets, and potential acquisitions.
  • Monitor and analyze the success of strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights.
  • Develop, refine, and sustain financial models and analytical tools to drive decision-making.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial reporting through diligent data preparation.
  • Keep track of real-time trends and statistics to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support for periodic reviews of financial and operational performance in collaboration with business and finance teams.
  • Construct databases and generate reports for senior leadership.
  • Assist in the formulation of business cases and perform due diligence on prospective opportunities and partnerships.
  • Utilize financial and economic principles, including modeling, analysis, cash flow management, and profitability assessments.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in the manufacturing or chemical manufacturing industries is essential.
  • Exceptional capability in constructing financial models tailored to operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and modeling techniques.
  • Strong foundation in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP or Power BI is a significant advantage.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, specifically within manufacturing or chemical sectors.
