Job Overview

We are in search of an accomplished Regional Sales Manager to join our thriving team dedicated to growth and revenue enhancement. In this pivotal position, you will cultivate, sustain, and broaden connections with retail brokers by employing a consultative methodology to deliver customized employee benefit solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate Strong Partnerships: Develop and maintain effective, enduring relationships by assessing broker requirements through education and support, thereby aiding in their revenue growth.
  • Design Insurance Solutions: Collaborate with brokers to formulate insurance solutions catering to the diverse needs of their clientele, encompassing fully insured and self-funded programs across all benefit lines.
  • Communicate Effectively: Employ a variety of communication techniques—such as in-person meetings, presentations, calls, and online interactions—to nurture and fortify broker relationships.
  • Utilize Technology: Leverage company tools and technology (e.g., Salesforce, Employee Navigator, Ease, Benefix, Formfire) to enhance relationships and propel sales initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop territory and account strategies that delineate opportunity development, competitive tactics, and targeted objectives.
  • Identify New Opportunities: Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to perpetually broaden the prospect pipeline and uncover new business possibilities.
  • Stay Informed: Remain knowledgeable about technological solutions available in the employee benefits sector, monitor market trends, competitor activities, and effective counter-strategies.
  • Collaborate within the Team: Engage in a supportive team environment, working towards achieving annual sales objectives and organizational goals.
  • Represent the Brand: Participate in meetings, events, and training sessions to maintain a competitive advantage while professionally representing the organization.
  • Provide Consultative Support: Collaborate with brokers and carriers to supply underwriting details and foster robust relationships with carrier partners.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales, notably in group medical or ancillary insurance.
  • A demonstrable history of surpassing sales targets.
  • A solutions-oriented perspective with innovative thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or analogous CRM tools, complemented by strong sales tactics and pipeline management abilities.
  • Current Life & Health insurance license.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Self-driven, achievement-oriented, and adept at effective time management.
  • Thorough understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and regional insurance markets.
  • Willingness to travel for internal events and training.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in sales or insurance may be advantageous.
