Job Overview

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a Navy ERP Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our esteemed organization in a fully remote capacity. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and federal financial management, who is eager to make significant contributions to financial analysis and reporting efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analyses and provide insights for reconciling:
    • Abnormal Balances
    • Tie Points
    • Reimbursable Work Orders (RWOs)
    • Unmatched Transactions (UMTs)
    • Journal Vouchers
Required Skills

  • Strong familiarity with NAVY ERP's funds management and financial accounting modules, including workflows and transaction codes.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to uncover underlying assumptions through strategic questioning and active listening.
  • Comprehensive general accounting capabilities, with a firm grasp of US GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, enabling the creation of detailed reports and the manipulation of data from various sources into a unified format.
  • Competence in analyzing and interpreting DoD financial data, identifying trends or anomalies within accounting transactions and their implications for General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Proven experience in evaluating both current and historical financial data to generate specialized reports aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • At least 7 years of experience in federal financial management, with relevant roles such as accountant, financial auditor, or financial analyst.
  • Cumulatively, a minimum of 8 years of pertinent work experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • A current SECRET (S) clearance or higher is mandatory.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
