Job Overview

We invite you to join our dynamic team as a Divisional HR Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving strategic HR initiatives that enhance our organizational culture and foster a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with onsite HR teams and management to ensure the smooth execution of daily HR operations, which include benefits administration, payroll processing, and risk management.
  • Serve as the key liaison between divisional and territorial human resources, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including those set forth by the US Department of Labor, OSHA, and ADA.
  • Provide prompt and professional responses to HR-related inquiries, keeping management updated on HR activities and potential challenges.
  • Supervise HR personnel to guarantee efficiency and professionalism in task execution.
  • Develop and uphold HR systems that support daily operations effectively.
  • Facilitate training sessions for managers on HR topics through webinars and conference calls.
  • Aid in conflict resolution and oversee the performance evaluation process.
  • Manage payroll processes, ensuring the precision of employee data in the payroll system.
  • Oversee the worker's compensation program, including the Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Assist the finance department by providing personnel cost information necessary for budgeting.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Publisher).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state labor laws, workers' compensation, health plans, and employee benefits.
  • Proven experience managing HR functions in a multi-site or remote setting.
  • Preferred certifications include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience with UKG payroll systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
  • A valid Alaska Driver's License is required.
