Job description

ezURs is a URAC-accredited Independent Review Organization committed to delivering comprehensive nationwide coverage with a team of credentialed, board-certified physicians. Our experts are well-versed in evidence-based practices and actively engaged in clinical practice, ensuring their assessments reflect the latest advancements in their fields of specialization. We focus on objective, defensible evaluations of medical records, meticulously examining diagnoses, mechanisms of injury, and treatment histories to determine the appropriateness of care without bias.

We are currently seeking Board Certified Neurosurgeons to join our esteemed panel of Physician Consultants. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including conducting pre-authorizations, medication reviews, and assessments for Long-Term Disability (LTD) and Short-Term Disability (STD) cases. At ezURs, we prioritize flexibility and professionalism, offering an opportunity to work remotely with adaptable schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough utilization reviews for pre-authorization requests and disability evaluations
  • Perform detailed medication assessments to ensure appropriate treatment plans
  • Uphold compliance with evidence-based practices in all evaluations
  • Collaborate with fellow medical professionals during case reviews

Required Skills

  • Active, unrestricted medical licensure in one or more of the following states: TX, CA, TN, CO, or NY
  • Board certification in Neurosurgery
  • Familiarity with utilization review processes and current medical practices

Qualifications

  • Currently practicing as a Board Certified Neurosurgeon
  • No restrictions, limitations, or malpractice claims on licensure
  • Must maintain an active medical practice
