Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Risk Account Engineer.This position will focus on evaluating and mitigating property risks for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in risk engineering, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of property insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site property risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend risk improvement solutions.
Develop detailed risk engineering reports for underwriters and clients, including hazard analysis and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with underwriters to evaluate risk quality and provide recommendations for risk selection and pricing.
Provide guidance and training to clients on fire protection, natural hazards, and loss prevention best practices.
Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and fire safety regulations.
Lead risk assessment projects for high-value or complex accounts.
Participate in client presentations, supporting the marketing of risk engineering services.
Assist in the development of risk improvement plans and follow up on the implementation of recommendations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in property risk engineering or a related role within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, building codes, and risk mitigation practices.
Experience with high-value or complex commercial property accounts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed for on-site assessments.

Preferred Skills

Professional designations such as CFPS, CSP, or ARM.
Experience working with large-scale commercial or industrial clients.
Familiarity with building construction, fire protection, and business interruption exposures.
