Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Risk Account Engineer.This position will focus on evaluating and mitigating property risks for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in risk engineering, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of property insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site property risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend risk improvement solutions.
  • Develop detailed risk engineering reports for underwriters and clients, including hazard analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to evaluate risk quality and provide recommendations for risk selection and pricing.
  • Provide guidance and training to clients on fire protection, natural hazards, and loss prevention best practices.
  • Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and fire safety regulations.
  • Lead risk assessment projects for high-value or complex accounts.
  • Participate in client presentations, supporting the marketing of risk engineering services.
  • Assist in the development of risk improvement plans and follow up on the implementation of recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in property risk engineering or a related role within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, building codes, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Experience with high-value or complex commercial property accounts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for on-site assessments.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional designations such as CFPS, CSP, or ARM.
  • Experience working with large-scale commercial or industrial clients.
  • Familiarity with building construction, fire protection, and business interruption exposures.
