Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Mortgage Business Analyst to become an integral part of our team. This remote role is pivotal in diagnosing production system challenges, overseeing support queues, and guaranteeing the successful execution of various projects. Your analytical insights and collaborative spirit will significantly contribute to the refinement of our business processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve production system challenges in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the escalation support queue and formulate bug ticket requirements as necessary.
  • Facilitate projects across all execution phases, ensuring adherence to established objectives.
  • Engage with subject matter experts, observe workflows, and communicate with business leaders to collect and analyze essential information for process or system enhancement.
  • Collaborate with software developers to outline solutions for system or client-related issues, including drafting Technical and Functional Specifications documents for system modifications.
  • Create and implement project plans for smaller-scale initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on the impacts of business changes and develop user documentation to support the implementation of new programming.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business partners to cultivate a robust understanding of our business operations and procedures.
  • Convey user feedback or requirements to department leadership and prepare supporting materials for necessary adjustments.
  • Execute related administrative functions as required.
  • Foster positive professional relationships with management, line of business personnel, and team members to effectively collaborate on projects and deliverables.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures while upholding our core values.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within the mortgage industry.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused with robust analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis would be advantageous.
