Job Overview

We are thrilled to invite a talented Financial Analyst FP&A Consultant to join our dynamic team within the healthcare sector. This remote position, based in El Segundo, California, presents an exceptional opportunity to engage in comprehensive data analysis, financial reporting, and budget oversight across multiple locations. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing our financial operations and driving forward our financial planning and analysis initiatives.

Work Schedule

This role mandates in-person attendance from Monday to Thursday at our El Segundo office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Duration

This is a temporary assignment designed to cover maternity leave, commencing in mid-November for a period of 4-5 months. Outstanding performance during this tenure may lead to a potential transition into a permanent role as a Senior Financial Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Consistently update, maintain, and analyze financial and operational reports to ensure accuracy and relevance. This includes preparing monthly performance dashboards, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Budget Preparation & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budget formation and periodic forecasting. Conduct detailed variance analyses to identify discrepancies and propose corrective measures.
  • Data Management: Employ SQL for data extraction and analysis, managing extensive datasets to extract insights that inform financial decision-making.
  • Site-Level Financial Oversight: Supervise financial operations across multiple business locations, performing site-level financial analysis to detect trends and create actionable recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and sustain intricate financial models that facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Reporting Improvements: Identify enhancement opportunities for reporting accuracy and optimize the budgeting and forecasting process. Create automated reporting tools and workflows where applicable.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with operational managers and senior leadership to gather financial data, comprehend business requirements, and align financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and prepare tailored reports for senior management as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundation and experience in accrual accounting and auditing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems including ADP Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports.
  • Essential SQL skills for data extraction and reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
