Gang & Associates, P.A., a national niche law firm in the veterans’ benefits field, is adding several full-time attorneys to its nationwide practice. In this role, you will be responsible for representing disabled veterans and their survivors in all compensation claims nationwide before the Regional Offices, Board of Veterans Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. We are hiring both experienced lateral hires and entry-level attorneys.

Requirements:

  • One of the following criteria:
    • 2+ years experience with substantive exposure representing veterans before the Regional Offices, the Board of Veterans Appeals, or the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; or:
    • 2+ years experience as an attorney for the Board of Veterans Appeals or the VA Office of General Counsel, Litigation Group VII; or
    • 1-year Clerkship for a Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; or
  • Be a strong academic and legal mind
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with veterans and their survivors
  • Be extremely organized, tech-savvy, and a fast learner
  • Have a good attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage a team of power professionals
  • Track record of strong docket management skills
  • Proven history of superior client relation skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills; Microsoft Office/Adobe Pro proficient
The ideal entry-level candidate;

  • Will have Bar Admission in one jurisdiction.
  • A desire to represent disabled veterans in federal administrative appeals and commit to learning this complex area of law.
  • Has an excellent attitude, integrity, and superior people skills.
  • Is able to interact with clients and provide superior client service while still managing a busy docket of complex cases.
  • Is Comfortable collecting money from clients and be comfortable complying with revenue-based metrics.

Thus, we are looking for candidates with the ability to be organized, manage time, and understand the balance between doing enough to win and not doing so much that it impairs your ability to push work through at a productive pace.

Remote working is an option for the successful candidate but travel to the main office 1 to 4 times per year for training, firm functions and meetings may be required.
